Academy Side Retakes Top Spot

(WINDSOR, ON) – Windsor TFC U18 Academy continued their fine form and regained first place in OYSL U18 with a pair of victories last weekend.

On Saturday at home to Dixie, the team earned a 5-1 victory in a very physical game, which included five yellow card and a red. Windsor took firm control of the match with Nikola Bauer contributing a hat trick and Markus Aguiar stopping a penalty shot.

On Sunday against the previous No. 1 Erin Mills, Windsor TFC quickly eroded any opposition and ran to a 6-1 win. Windsor converted on the counter attack and on corner kicks as they established a 3-point margin in the league ladder.

Bauer, Jackson Moy, and Luka Tojcic each netted singles for Windsor while Paul Di Meo recorded a hat trick. Strong performances were also had from Lucas Spadafora and Jayden McTavish, which greatly contributed to the cause.
