Sun Parlour Rodeo Sets Record

(RUTHVEN, ON) – For the 17th straight year, the Pavao family of Easy Walking Stables has hosted the Sun Parlour Rodeo to benefit local charities. Over the past weekend, the rodeo, presented by Rawhide Rodeo Company, drew a record number of visitors in excess of 5,000 on Saturday with almost as many the next evening.

Professional cowboys and girls competed in 11 events each day, much to the pleasure and amazement to those in attendance. Over the past 17 years, the event has raised over $400,000 for the Leamington District Memorial Hospital, WE Care for Kids, and the local campus of the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.

Rodeo entertainer Brinson James was again clowning with the audience this year and fans were treated to a special demonstration of Roman riding.
