(WINDSOR, ON) – Windsor’s rookie quarterback, Colton Allen, would no doubt like to forget his inaugural CJFL start as the Hamilton Hurricanes crushed the AKO Fratmen 51-12 Saturday evening at Alumni Stadium. The defending OFC champions couldn’t get on track as Allen connected at a .500 pace on 14 attempts for just 125 yards.
The Fratmen added 25 yards on the ground including their only touchdown from running back Samuel Tshiani.
Conversely, the Canes compiled 429 total yards, with QB Jake Marquette airing out three TDs and two the hard way by RB Jayden Hyland. Hamilton’s pass protection also returned a pick for six from deep in Windsor’s red zone.
The Fratmen travel to St Catharines to meet the Niagara Regional Raiders on August 26. Windsor’s next home game is September 1 when the Ottawa Sooners pay a visit. Kick off is at 7pm.
