(DETROIT, MI) – Major League Baseball has learned a few lessons from this season’s early start and the havoc caused by inclement weather. The Detroit Tigers will open next season on the road March 28 through 31 with a visit to Toronto and the domed Rogers Centre.
They’ll tempt fate, however, with a trip to play the Yankees from April 1 to 3 before opening their 20th season at Comerica Park on April 4 by hosting the Kansas City Royals.
The Tigers released their 2019 schedule on Wednesday for their 119th season, and it included interleague play against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Nationals, Philadelphia Phillies, and Miami Marlins.
Tickets are now available for purchase.
