Clippers Win Home Opener

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Clippers  came out of the gate fast with Steve Hinek scoring just 15 seconds into the opening period of their season opener against the Sarnia Pacers, in front of a packed house at Forest Glade Arena.  The Clippers went onto beat the Pacers by a score of 16-9.

Steve Hinek led the Clippers with four goals and three assists. Brett Hickey had three goals, Corey Burchell and Nathan Hodgins each had a pair with singles going to Trevor Learn, Jeff Rivait, Lucas Ducharme, Brendan Anger and Griffin Matte,

Brendan Stevenson played great in net making 30 saves, many of those in the second period when the Pacers were pressing hard. 

The Clippers next game is on the road against the Elora Mohawks on Saturday April 30.
