Clippers Split Weekend Tilts

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Clippers split their weekend road games to run the season record to 9-3. On Friday night the Clippers defeated the Welland Warlords 11-5. The win was the Clippers eighth in a row. Alex Seguin, Steve Hinek and Corey Burchell each scored a pair of goals to pace the Clippers. Singles were added by Brett Hickey, Devon Humphrey, Brendon Anger Jeff Rivait and Travis Boomer. Brendan Stevenson recorded the win in goal.

On Saturday the Clippers faced a tough Spartan team in St. Catharines and battled to a 12-11 loss. Jeff Rivait provided the lion’s share of the offense, scoring five goals for the Clippers. Brett Hickey chipped in with three while Nathan Hodgins, Hunter Bushnell and Alex Seguin added one goal each. Kyle May suffered the loss in goal for the Clippers.

Next up for the Clippers is division rival Wallaceburg Red Devils who come calling for a Thursday night tilt at Forest Glade Arena. Game time on June 2nd is 7:30 pm.
