Clippers Slip To Blue Devils

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Clippers fell to the London Blue Devils 12-9 at home on Saturday night. The loss was the first home loss for the Clippers this season. The Clippers are 7-1 at home and 10-4 overall.

It was an all-around poor effort by the Clippers, who out shot the Blue Devils 49-32. Brett Hickey scored three goals and both Jeff Rivait and Brendon Anger scored twice for the Clippers. Devin Humphrey and Trevor Learn rounded out the scoring. Kyle May started in goal but was ejected for a hit from behind four minutes into the second period after giving up 2 goals on 10 shots. Brendon Stevenson came in and took the loss, giving up 10 goals on 22 shots.

The Clippers will try to rebound on Sunday night as they travel to Sarnia for a tilt with the Pacers. Game time is 7:00pm. The Clippers will stay on the road for a pivotal match-up with Wallaceburg on Wednesday night. The next home game is Saturday, June 11th when they host the Niagara Thunderhawks.
