Clippers Move On To Six Nations

(GUELPH, ON) – The Clippers may have gotten their wake-up call a little late, but not too late to lose the game. After falling behind 6-0 in the first period, the Clippers chipped away at the gritty Guelph Regals to finally clinch the series with a 16-12 road win.

Brett Hickey and Brendon Anger scored three goals each to pace the Clippers attack. Trevor Learn, Alex Seguin and Jeff Rivait each added a pair of goals and singles went to John Nowicki, Ken Greer, Steve Weingarden and Corey Burchell. Brendan Stevenson started in goal for the Clippers, but was relieved by Kyle May after giving up five first period goals. May recorded the win.

The prize for beating the Guelph Regals is a date with the Six Nations Rebels (22-1) The Clippers will travel to Six Nations to open the series this Friday, July 8th at the ILA at 8:00 pm. Game two of the series will be played at Forest Glade Arena on Tuesday, July 12th at 8:00 pm. Game 3 is back at the ILA on Saturday, July 16th at 7:00 pm. If game four is necessary it will be played at Forest Glade Arena on Sunday, July 17th at 7:00 pm. If a fifth game is required it will be played at the ILA on Tuesday, July 19th at 8:00 pm
