Preds Overcome Three Goal Deficit

By Gail Cook

(SARNIA, ON) – Could be things are starting to turn for the better for the Lambton Shores Predators. After a penalty free first period and being outshot 15-8 by the Sarnia Legionnaires, Trevor Ladd earned the first Preds goal at 1:39 left, ending the first period in a 1-1 tie.

Being down 4-1 in the second period the Predators played strong  earning five unanswered goals for a 6-4 win.

Predators’ Kyle Brothers scored three powerplay goals to earn a hat trick. Also scoring for the Predators was Brendon Merritt and Ryan Rontondi with a empty net goal.

“We started out ok and then got ourselves in trouble but started working hard. When we got our third goal going into the third I felt if we can kill fifty five seconds, we had a chance to at least tie it up. Our guys didn’t stop working. Campbell made the saves when we needed it” said Head Coach Mark Davis.
