Stars Shine Over Preds

(FOREST, ON) – The Predators’ Brendon Merritt scored against the St Thomas Stars with 1:07 remaining in the first period to tie the game at 1. With four unanswered goals, including 2 powerplay goals, St Thomas ended the second period with a  5-1 lead.

Merritt netted his second of the game at 11:18 of the third to pull within 3 before St Thomas came back with another to win the game 6-2.

” We had a very good first period. The second period we stayed in the dressing room.  The third we played well.  The guys don’t understand we are fighting for a playoff position and playing two way hockey is very important.  Until we do that the results will be the same,” said Head Coach Mark Davis.
