Preds Drop Close Game

(FOREST, ON) – With 4:38 left in the first period Cale Duberry netted a powerplay goal assisted by Ryan Rontondi and Nick Erb to tie the game at 1.

The Maroons’ Michael Verboom scored the lone goal in the second to make it 2-1 by the end of the second period.

The Predators rallied to tie the game 2-2 at the 11:51 mark of the third. Scoring the tying goal was Kyle Brothers, assisted by Ferdinando Colella and Captain Adam Arseneault.  However, Verboom scored his second goal of the game at 8:38 to lead the Maroons to the win.

“Both teams played hard tonight. It was a good game, but we fell short,” said Head Coach Mark Davis.
