Preds Forge Ahead In Playoff Race

(FOREST, ON) – With a six game winning streak the Lambton Shores Predators now take sole possession of the final playoff position in the Greater Ontario Hockey League with a 5-4 win over the Chatham Maroons.

The Predators went scorelss in the first period as the Maroons took a 1-0 lead after the frst 20 minutes.

Brett Thompson and Captain Adam Arseneault each netted one in the second period but were down 4-2 to the Maroons by the end of the second frame.

In the third period the Predators rallied to score 3 unanswered goals.  Corey Pawley, Brett Thompson and Adam Arseneault each had one.

Corey Pawley had a 5 point night and Captain Adam Arseneault with 4 points.

“We started out a little slow, but after the first period we settled down and played well.  Adam Arseneault scored a great goal from Corey Pawley.   

All in all I am very proud of all twenty guys that dressed tonight.  Campbell was solid in net” said Head Coach Mark Davis.

Predators next home game is February 18 vs Leamington Flyers. Puck Drops 7:30 pm.
