A Lot On The Line At Vipers Game

(LASALLE, ON) – The life of one lucky LaSalle Vipers fan may change on Wednesday February 22.

That night, following the first period of the Vipers’ game, the winning entrant to the LaSalle Minor Hockey Association Score-O Challenge will take centre ice.

The lucky contestant will have one shot to put a puck through the slot in the Score-O Challenge goal-blind covering one of the nets.

If successful, the contestant goes home with a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox, courtesy of Reaume Chev Buick GMC.

But there won’t be much disappointment if the shot’s a miss – the consolation prize is $1,000.

Regardless the outcome, it’s another great example of a Junior B team working with local minor hockey. There will also be other prizes and activities, so it will be an exciting night for fans.

Before the face-off on February 22nd, there will be a special pre-game ceremony honouring four players who are graduating from the Vipers:

  • Captain Matt Beaudoin
  • Ryan Speers
  • Tim Edwards
  • Kevin Curridor

Game time is 7pm at the Vollmer Centre, where the Vipers play their final regular season game against the Leamington Flyers. The game is sponsored by Cogeco, which will raffle off free Internet subscriptions, as well as a signed Vipers jersey.

Tickets for the game will be available starting at 5:30pm on Wednesday at the Vollmer Centre.
