Preds Drop Game 1

(FOREST, ON) – The Lambton Shores Predators were defeated in a hard fought game in game one of the first playoff game against the Sarnia Legionnaires , coming up short in a 5-4 loss.

Lambton Shores would open the scoring in the first as Tanner Ferguson would score at the 4:16 mark assisted by Ryan Rontondi and Cody Trowell. Predators Kyle Brothers would score 8:26 to take the lead 2-0 Predator’s. The Legionnaires rallied to net two goals to end the first period 2-2.

In the second period the Legionnaires would score two goals to put them in front 4-2. Predator’s Adam Arseneault netted one at 9:49 assisted by Brett Thompson and Corey Pawley to end the second period 4-3 Sarnia.

Adam Arseneault would add a third period power play goal at 12:21, assisted by Brett Thompson and Corey Pawley to tie the game    4-4. Sarnia would score at 13:35 to win the game 5-4. Predator’s Brandon Campbell played strong in net.

“Great game. We played very well. We have to keep our mistakes down and stay out of the box. All in all a very good game” said Head Coach Mark Davis.
