Viper Becomes Lancer

By Megan Sylvester

(LaSALLE, ON) – LaSalle Vipers’ team captain, Matt Beaudoin, has accepted an offer to take his hockey career to the next level.

Next season, Beaudoin will join former Vipers D.J. Turner and Drew Palmer, playing for the University of Windsor men’s hockey team.

“We’ve known Matt from his minor hockey days,” says Vipers General Manager, Kevin McIntosh.  “He was the first player we recruited for the Vipers.  He was the role model we wanted for the rest of the players.  We wish him all the best and know he’ll be a real success on the Lancers’ team.”

Matt Beaudoin has a Sutherland Cup championship to his credit.  He finished his final season in LaSalle leading the team in both the regular and post season with 65 points (25-40) and 7 points in the post season (3 – 4) and was selected to participate in the 2012 GOJHL Western Conference All-Star game.
