(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Clippers won their fourth in a row with an 18-14 victory over the Mid-West division leading Orangeville Northmen. The win also moves Windsor into a first place tie with the London Blue Devils in the Far West division. Both teams have 14 points, with London holding one game in hand. The two rivals will square off on Tuesday night at Forest Glade Arena for the first time this season. Game time is 8:00 pm.
The Clippers got off to a slow start with the first two Orangeville shots finding the back of the net, but the Clippers bounced back with goals by Lucas Ducharme and Tyler McDowall to even it up at 2-2. The first period ended with Orangeville going to the break up 6-4.
The Clippers came out on fire in the second period scoring eight times before Orangeville replied with a pair of goals at the end of the period. The Clippers took a 12-8 lead into the third period.
The Clippers and Northmen traded six goals apiece in the third period with the Clippers coming away with a 18-14 victory.
Jeff Rivait scored four times and added two assists for a six point night. Brendon Anger scored three times and added two assists while Tyler McDowall (1 assist) and Lucas Ducharme (3 assists) each scored a pair. Singles were added by Jarred Riley( 2 assists), Bryan Larocque (5 assists), Matt Martinello, Ryan Marchand (1 assist), Ed Monahan, Trevor Learn (4 assists) and Hunter Bushnell. Kyle May faced 44 shots in the win.
