(WINDSOR, ON) – It may be life support, but the Clippers playoff hopes remained alive with a 10-8 victory over the Welland Warlords. The win improves the Clippers to 10-9 on the season.

The Clippers jumped to an early 4-0 lead, but let the Warlords back into the game late in the third period. The Warlords closed to within a goal with 1:57 to play before Gianni Martinello scored with 0:43 left to play to salt away the victory.

Brendon Anger scored three goals and three assists to lead the Clippers. Jeff Rivait and Tyler McDowall each scored a pair with singles going to Trevor Learn, Lucas Ducharme and Gianni Martinello. Kyle May earned the win in goal for the Clippers

The final game of the regular season will be on Tuesday night when the Clippers host the London Blue Devils. Game time is 8:00 pm at Forest Glade Arena. The Clippers need to win their final game against the Blue Devils and need to have either Elora or Niagara to lose their final game in order to advance to the Playoffs.
