Vipers GM Steps Down

(LaSALLE, ON) – Kevin McIntosh, General Manager of the LaSalle Vipers has stepped down due to health reasons. 

LaSalle Vipers“Kevin has been a major force in leading the Vipers. He has keen insight and tremendous knowledge of the game. His efforts and dedication will be missed,” said Vipers’ President John Savage.

For the past decade, McIntosh has been the General Manager of the Tecumseh Chiefs and the LaSalle Vipers – both teams he led to Sutherland Cup victories.

On November 17, 2010, he received the Crystal Puck Award, a highly coveted honour from the Ontario Hockey Association.  The award recognizes a team representative who not only provides exemplary service and dedication to his team and organization, but also to the OHA and the game of hockey.

McIntosh has been involved in the hockey world since 1974, serving in a variety of capacities.  He played Senior A Hockey in the 1970’s and went on to coach a number of teams in Canada and the United States, including Head Coach of the OHL Windsor Spitfires.

The name of the new Vipers General Manager will be announced before the season opening exhibition game on Wednesday August 22nd.
