NHL Ranks Rychel #3 In Ontario

(NEW YORK, NY) – NHL Central Scouting has released their Preliminary Rankings for the 2013 NHL Entry Draft which takes place June 28-29 in New Jersey.

The rankings list the top-25 skaters in each of the CHL’s three leagues including the QMJHL, OHL, and WHL. Central Scouting also ranks the top 5-6 goaltenders in each league who are eligible for the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Nathan MacKinnon, Sean Monahan, and Seth Jones lead each of their respective leagues in the Preliminary Rankings. MacKinnon, a 17-year-old forward from Dartmouth, NS, plays for the Halifax Mooseheads and has 38 points through 23 games in the QMJHL this season. Monahan, an 18-year-old from Brampton, ON, plays for the Ottawa 67’s and has 36 points in 24 OHL games this season. Jones, an 18-year-old from Plano, Texas, is a defenceman with the Portland Winterhawks and has 14 points in his first 21 career WHL games.

Zachary Fucale (Halifax Mooseheads), Spencer Martin (Mississauga Steelheads), and Eric Comrie (Tri-City Americans), are the top-ranked goaltenders in their respective leagues.
