Lancers Remain Unbeaten

(WATERLOO, ON) – Jessica Clemencon tallied a game-high 21 points and added four rebounds to lead the Windsor Lancers women’s basketball team to a 66-46 victory over the host Laurier Golden Hawks on Wednesday evening.

Miah-Marie Langlois added a contest-high nine rebounds and 11 points, while Korissa Williams picked up 16 points and six boards for the CIS No. 3-ranked Lancers, who moved to an unblemished 10-0 on the year.

The Lancers held the home side to just 15 points in the first half, helping them to their second win over Laurier in the past two weeks. Windsor shot just under 46% from the floor, compared to just under 30% from the Golden Hawks, whose five starters did not reach double-digits in scoring. Alena Luciani led Laurier (4-6) with 11 points in a losing cause.

Windsor will look to maintain its place at the top of the OUA West division this Sunday at the St. Denis Centre, where it will welcome the Waterloo Warriors for a 1:00 p.m. tip-off.
