(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Minor Hockey Association Novice AA team sponsored by Accurate Embroidery and Screen Printing were put to the test and emerged victorious. On Saturday, 23 March, WMHA reps defeated Stoney Creek 4-1, taking the final series 6 points to 2, and winning the Novice AA Ontario Minor Hockey Association Championship.

A hearty congratulations to head coach Ryan Gouin and his staff and players on becoming the 8th WMHA OMHA Championship winning team.

With hard work, training, and a little luck, we may be watching future NHL’ers in the WMHA. Over the years Windsor Minor Hockey has graduated numerous players to the pro ranks, and the latest to make it is Brett Bellemore.

On 21 March, Bellemore laced up the skates for the Carolina Hurricanes becoming the 21st WMHA alumni to step onto the ice in the National Hockey League.

WMHA is proud of Brett’s perseverance and wishes him, and all WMHA players, luck in the hockey future.
