Clippers Pound Brampton

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Clippers put their size advantage to good use tonight with a 17-7 victory over the much smaller but skilled Brampton Excelsior squad. The Clippers wore down the Excelsiors in the first two periods and took advantage in the third period to cruise to a 17-7 victory.

Jeff Rivait, Bryan Larocque, Lucas Ducharme and Ryan Marchand each scored three goals for the Clippers tonight with singles going to Dylan Riley, Trevor Learn, Andrew Garant, Matt Martinello and Logan Holmes. Trevor Learn and Jeff Rivait also added four assists each. Cooper Cecile recorded the win in goal for the Clippers. The Clippers also went 6 for 7 on the power play.

The Clippers head up the 401 to take on division leading London Blue Devils on Sunday for a Mother’s Day match-up at 7:00 pm This is a huge game for the Clippers as it is their first divisional game and will be the first of 3 meetings between the two clubs. The Clippers next home game is Wednesday night against the Point Edward Pacers. Game time at Forest Glade Arena is 8:00 pm.
