(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Clippers edged the Point Edward Pacers 7-6 Wednesday night at Forest Glade Arena. The contest was rather one sided, but the score certainly did not indicate that.
The Clippers directed more than 100 shots toward the Pacers goal, but almost half of them missed the target. The first period shots were 30-8 for the Clippers, but the scoreboard read 4-2.
The Clippers led 6-4 after 40 minutes and hung on to win 7-6.
Jeff Rivait scored twice for the Clippers. Singles were added by Bryan Larocque, Lucas Ducharme, Ryan Marchand, Trevor Learn and Logan Holmes. Cooper Cecile recorded the win in goal for the Clippers with 26 saves.
The Clippers hit the road for a pair of weekend games. On Saturday night they take on the St. Catherines Spartans, and Sunday afternoon will face the Welland Warlords.
