Clippers Rude Hosts For Owen Sound

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Clippers took it to the young upstart Owen Sound North Star squad 18-6 at Forest Glade Arena Saturday night. The Clippers jumped out to a 5-1 first period lead and cruised the rest of the night for the win. Cooper Cecile and Mike Cameron shared the goaltending duties for the Clippers tonight with Cecile playing the first 40 minutes.

Jarred Riley and Bryan Larocque each put up 8 points on the night for the Clippers. Larocque scored three goals to go along with five assists,while Riley distributed the ball for 8 assists. Lucas Ducharme scored five times while Brendon Anger scored four goals to go along with three assists. Trevor Learn scored twice and singles were added by Josh Jubenville, Gianni Martinello, Kellen Leclair and Andrew Garant.

Saturday’s win extends the Clippers winning streak to seven games, and gives them a mark of 8-1 on the season. An opening weekend loss to the Six Nations Rebels is the only blemish on the Clippers record.

Up next for the Clippers is a home date with the rival Wallaceburg Red Devils this Wednesday night. Game time at Forest Glade Arena is 7:30 pm.
