Spotlight Clipper Leads Team Against London

(WINDSOR, ON) – Windsor Clippers forward Brendon Anger is this week’s Windsor Crossing Clipper of the Week.

Anger earned the honour for his play from June 25th through July 1st. During that stretch Anger scored four goals and added two assists in a 17-11 win over Point Edward and scored two goals and added three assists Brendon an 18-4 rout over Hamilton.

Anger currently leads the Clippers in scoring with 43 goals and 27 assists in just 17 games this season. Anger is in his fourth season with the Clippers.

The Windsor Clippers closed out the 2013 regular season schedule with a convincing 16-5 win over the Point Edward Pacers. The win gives the Clippers a 16-4 record on the season, which is a new franchise best record. The win is also the first time the Clippers have swept their Far West opponents, going 10-0 versus London, Wallaceburg and Point Edward.

Lucas Ducharme scored five times to lead the Clippers attack. Clipper of the Week Brendon Anger chipped in with three goals while Bryan Larocque, Trevor Learn and Jeff Rivait each scored twice. Singles were scored by Josh Jubenville and Ryan Marchand.

Cooper Cecile earned the win in goal for the Clippers stopping 27 of 32 shots.


The Clippers will now face the London Blue Devils in the first round of the playoffs. The series is a best of 3.
