Clippers Season Ends

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Clippers season came to an end on Saturday night with a loss to the Orangeville Northmen. The Northmen took the best of five series 3 games to 1.

The two teams played it tight Saturday night. The teams were tied at 3 after the first period, and the Clippers went into the third period nursing a 7-6 edge.

In the final frame the Northmen scored three times on their first five shots to take 9-7 lead, and went on to a final score of 11-8.

The Northmen will now face the Six Nations Rebels in the western conference championship series.

Lucas Ducharme and Brendon Anger each scored twice for the Clippers Saturday. Singles were added by Ryan Marchand, Cam Rogers, Jeff Rivait and Trevor Learn. Cooper Cecile took the loss in goal for the Clippers stopping 34 of 45 shots.

As for the Clippers they will evaluate their season and look forward to the 2014 season. The Clippers will graduate only two players from the 2013 team, Captain Jeff Rivait and Bryan Larocque.
