WMHA To Host Hockey Championships

By Dean Lapierre

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Minor Hockey Association (WMHA) is pleased to announce that they have been selected as the host for the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) 2014 Bantam ‘AA’ Hockey Championship Series. This is a major hockey event that will see five Bantam hockey teams from across Ontario participate in a tournament in Windsor for the All Ontario Championship.

The Championship Series licks off April 10 with a banquet for all the teams at the Serbian Centre.

Competition begins on April 11 with all games being played at the South Windsor Recreation Complex. All of the teams will be staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites on Huron Church Road.

This is a great opportunity for the City of Windsor, and the hockey community as we can expect over 300 people attending the event. The WMHA last hosted an OHF Championship series in 2003 and it was well received.
