(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Lancers bettered their OUA record to 6-4 after a hard-fought 88-79 victory away at Wilfrid Laurier last night.
The Golden Hawks started out strong, taking a 1st quarter 23-16 lead. Windsor, playing without starters Josh Collins and Evan Matthews, turned up the effort in the 2nd, out-scoring Laurier 22-12 and dominating the game the rest of the way.
Lien Phillip, coming off the bench for the first time this season, led all Lancers with 26 points on a combined 62.5% scoring from the floor. He was also 5-6 from the line and added 15 rebounds for a double-double in just 31 minutes of action.
Dependable Enrico Diloreto contributed 22 points in the winning cause, and dished off four assists for the the Lancers. He was joined by Rotimi Osuntola, who sat out the Chuck Daley Memorial Classic, with 14 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks.
Next up for Windsor is another road game, this time at McMaster in Hamilton on Saturday.
