Lancers Victorious In London

(WINDSOR, ON) – In London last night, the University of Windsor men’s basketball team extended their modest winning streak by defeating the Western Mustangs 67-50. Windsor’s third straight win moved the squad up a notch into the ninth spot of the CIS Basketball rankings.

Point guard Enrico Deloreto led the Lancers, and all scorers, putting up 16 points in the victory. He added 11 rebounds for the double-double, during his 32 minutes on the hardwood.

Windsor’s Grenada-born centre, Lien Phillip pushed his streak of double-doubles to 8 as he contributed 15 points and 13 boards.

The Lancers out-scored Western in each quarter except the 4th, however Windsor was beaten inside by the Mustang offense in the key, by a lop-sided 26-18.

The Windsor bench stepped up with 20 points, nine from Alex Campbell.

Next up for the Lancers is a home game against Waterloo on Saturday with the tipoff at 4:00 pm.
