With the victory, the Lancers move to 2-2 in OUA conference play.
Windsor got another inspired performance from goaltender Jim Watt who was outstanding in goal to earn the shutout.
On Saturday night, the Lancers opened the score seven minutes into the game as Jonathan Sciacca scored his first goal of the season to give his team the 1-0 lead. Brett Oliphant and Matt McCready earned assists.
The Lancers would add to their lead later in the period as Kyle Tront scored his first of the year to make it 2-0. Scott Gillis and Brett Vandehogen assisted on the goal.
With Jim Watt making solid saves in net, Windsor would increase their lead halfway through the second period as Vandehogen scored his second of the year to make it 3-0. Kyle Tronte earned an assist on the goal.
That would be more than enough offense on the night as Watt and the Lancer defense held the Thunderwolves off the scoresheet for the victory.
Windsor will be on the road next weekend for an important series against the UOIT Ridgebacks in Oshawa.
