Battisti earns piece of Vipers history

Vipers goaltender Paolo Battisti joined the record books Saturday night in Dorchester when he shut out the London Nationals 4-0.

The shutout was Battisti’s fourth of the season, which tied the franchise record for most shutouts in a season. The mark was previously set by Eddie Wheeler with the Tecumseh Chiefs in the 2003-04 season.

Battisti and Wheeler also share the career shutouts record (also with four apiece).

This is Battisti’s first season with the Vipers.
