(LaSALLE, ON) – LaSalle Vipers rookie defenseman Austin Hall has signed with the Ontario Hockey League’s Guelph Storm. A seventh round pick by the Storm in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection, Hall logged heavy minutes and played in all situations for the Vipers as a 16 year-old.

He was selected to participate in the 2013-14 Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League Top Prospects Game, and compiled six goals and 30 points in 48 games this season, second among all Vipers blue liners.

“One thing I really like about him is his competitiveness, and his consistency,” said Vipers Head Coach Bill Bowler. “You can count on one hand how many off nights Austin had.”

Hall, a Belle River native, is a graduate of the Sun County Panthers AAA program and was named the winner of the 2013 Mickey Renaud Award as the Sun County graduate who best displays leadership, dedication, and determination on and off the ice.

He was presented with the award by Mickey’s father, Mark, during a pre-game ceremony at the Vollmer Centre on January 22.
