Record Extended To 10 Wins

(BRAMPTON, ON) – The Windsor Clippers took to the road on Sunday for a tilt with the Brampton Excelsiors, and came out with a 13-9 victory. The win improves the Clippers to 10-1 on the season.

The game was a see-saw affair with the Clippers jumping out to an early 4-0 lead. The Excelsiors closed the gap to 5-4 after 20 minutes of play. The Excelsiors then opened the second period with three straight goals to take the lead, but the Clippers clawed back and closed out the period tied at nine.

The third period was all Clippers as they scored four times while shutting down the Excelsiors for the 13-9 win.

Andrew Garant and Dylan Riley scored three goals each for the Clippers. Trevor Learn and Nathan Hodgins each chipped in with a pair while singles were scored by Jarred Riley, Ryan Marchand and Brendon Anger.

Cooper Cecile started in goal for the Clippers and was relieved by Mike Cameron after surrendering eight goals. Cameron shut out the Excelsiors in the third, giving up only one goal over 33 minutes.

The Clippers will host the London Blue Devils on Thursday night at Forest Glade Arena. Game time is 8:00 pm
