Clippers Drop Game 1

By Mike Soulliere

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Clippers opened the first round of the playoffs with a disappointing loss to the Wallaceburg Red Devils by a score of 11-6. The Clippers offence struggled mightily all night, managing to score just one goal in each the first and third periods.

Strong goaltending and solid defence kept the Clippers in the game for two periods before Wallaceburg pulled away in the third for the win.

Dylan Riley and Trevor Learn scored two goals each in the loss, with singles going to Brendon Anger and Ryan Marchand. Zach Grace absorbed the loss in goal for the Clippers.

The Clippers will go right back at it on Saturday night in Wallaceburg. Game three of the series will be back in Windsor Wednesday night. All games in the series start at 8:00 pm.
