Clippers Advance To Next Round

By Mike Soulliere

(WINDSOR, ON) – After falling behind two games to none in their best of five series with the Wallaceburg Red Devils, the Clippers came roaring back to win the next three games to take the series 3-2. Last night the Clippers won 13-11 in a well played game, in front of a sold-out crowd at Forest Glade Arena.

Trevor Learn led the Clippers with five goals and two assists, Andrew Garant scored three times, and singles were scored by Nathan Hodgins, Josh Jubenville, Ryan Marchand, Patrick Kaschalk, and Hunter Bushnell.

Cooper Cecile went the distance in goal for the Clippers to record the win. The Clippers will now face the Orangeville Northmen in a re-match of last year’s Western Conference semi-final.

Last season the Northmen knocked the Clippers out of contention with a 3-1 series win. The opening game of the semi’s will be played in Orangeville on Sunday evening at 7:00 pm.

Game two will be back in Windsor on Tuesday, July 15. Game time is 8:00 pm at Forest Glade Arena. The rest of the schedule will be released later this week.
