Clippers Take Series Lead

(ORANGEVILLE, ON) – The Clippers dug themselves a deep hole in the first period in Orangeville last night, but chipped away at the Northmen to come home with a hard fought 11-10 victory.

The Clippers trailed 7-1, at one point in the first period, and cut the lead to 4 after forty minutes. The Clippers went on to score five unanswered goals in the third period to secure the win.

Ryan Marchand paced the Clippers attack with 3 goals and 3 assists, including the game winner with 3:20 left on the clock. Jarred Riley, Logan Holmes, and Patrick Kaschalk each scored twice for the Clippers while singles were scored by Chase Kavanaugh and Trevor Learn.

Cooper Cecile started in goal for the Clippers and was replaced by Zach Grace after the first period. Grace surrendered three goals on 23 shots to earn the victory.

Game four of the series will be played at Forest Glade Arena on Saturday night at 7:00 pm. The Clippers are urging the fans to wear black to black out the Orangemen.
