AKO Players Of the Week

(WINDSOR, ON) – The AKO Fratmen football team has announced the Stars Of The Game Players of the Week. These selections come after the victory over the London Beefeaters, a 27 -14 win improving the Fratmen record to 2-1.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

The Offensive Line:  Devon Kozar, Ahmed Abusafeyeh, Johnny Muresan, Marcus Ware, Jacob Benson, Brad Berry, Josef Mohamed, and Andrew Trinier.
296 yards rushing and 19 first downs, highlighted by an 11 play, 90 yard drive; all running plays.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Second year line-backer Dillon Grondin, #54, from Sarnia, 6′ 1", 225lbs. He earned 20 Defensive Points, 6 solo tackles, 5 assists, 1 knocked down pass, 1 sack, and 2 special teams tackles. It was his best game of the season and was all over the field, from covering slots and backs to rushing the passer.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Second year wide receiver Shadi Aoun, #4, from L’essor High School, 6′ 2", 210lbs. Aoun made 4 Special Teams tackles, played a fast and physical game, and helped lead the cover units and return teams.

The AKO Fratmen will be on the road this Sunday to battle with the GTA Grizzlies (0-3). Game time is at 1:00 pm.
