(LaSALLE, ON) – LaSalle Vipers goaltender Paolo Battisti has earned his second straight monthly award for the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League. Battisti, 19, was named the GOJHL’s Western Conference Goaltender of the Month for September.

He posted a 2.00 GAA and a .932 SV% in September, playing all but one game, with his 5-0-0 record helping LaSalle to a perfect opening month. He also won the award in February, the final month of the 2013-14 season, when he went 5-1-1 to help the Vipers finish in second place.

The 6’4″, 210 lb Windsor native is in his second season with the Vipers and has a career 20-4-3-1 regular season record. His four shutouts are tied for the most in Vipers history.

Battisti will be presented with the award prior to the Vipers next home game, tomorrow at the Vollmer Centre, against the Chatham Maroons. Game time is 7:00 pm.

Remember to bring your canned goods, as the game marks the final day of the annual Reaume Thanksgiving Can Drive.
