(WINDSOR, ON) – The RMC Paladins fell twice to the Windsor Lancers over the weekend in men’s hockey. Friday evening, Windsor skated to their 8th straight victory by defeating the Cadets 3-1 at South Windsor Arena.
The Paladins opened the scoring on an unassisted breakaway rush by Scott Domenico in the first period. The Lancers responded with three unanswered goals from Ryan Green and Matt Beaudoin in the second period and Beaudoin again in the 3rd.
RMC opened the scoring on Saturday and battled Windsor to a first period 2-2 tie. Daulton Siwak and Kenny Bradford (on a power play) registered goals for the Lancers. Bradford notched his second goal of the evening just a minute and a half into the second period. His was followed by goals from Eric Noel and Kyle Hope.
Windsor added two more in the final frame. Bradford completed the hat trick with another power play goal, and Isak Quakenbush hit the twine with just over a minute left to play.
Windsor’s Spencer Pommells continued his point output registering four assists in the two games against RMC. The Grande Prairie, AB, native now has nine goals and 13 assists in the first nine games of the year.
The Lancers lead the OUA West with 18 points , eight in front of Ryerson, and the OUA outright. The Blue and Gold are ranked #4 in Canada.
