(WINDSOR, ON) – Alex Campbell and the Lancers men’s basketball team won silver at the 2015 Wilson Cup Final Four at Monpetit Hall in Ottawa. The Lancers dropped the final game 103-59 to the Carleton Ravens, ending the series in 2nd place and qualifying for the CIS National Championships to be held starting March 12 in Toronto.

In anti-climatic fashion after the win over Ottawa, Campbell dropped 15 points to lead the Windsor offensive effort. Graduating seniors Evan Matthews and Khalid Abdel-Gabar contributed 11 and 1 points, respectively. Defensively, Rotimi Osuntola Jr pulled down 6 boards.

Ryerson University will host the CIS Final 8 at Mattamy Athletic Centre, former site of Maple Leaf Gardens. Along with the Lancers, Carleton and Ryerson will be there, representing the OUA. From western Canada, the Saskatchewan Huskies and Victoria Vikes are scheduled to appear. And the Dalhousie Tigers will be travelling from Halifax for the big show.

The Bishops Gaiters ousted McGill from RESQ contention and will represent Quebec in Toronto. The CIS will announce the final wildcard seed later today.
