Flyers, Vipers Advance To GOJHL Round 2

By Ian Shalapata

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – The Leamington Flyers have drawn the London Nationals in Round 2 of the 2014-15 GOJHL playoffs. Leamington dispatched the Lambton Shores Predators in four straight games in Round 1 while London’s series against the Chatham Maroons went to six.

The situation is mirrored by the LaSalle Vipers’ match up with the Sarnia Legionnaires. LaSalle took just four games to eliminate the Strathroy Rockets from contention for the Sutherland Cup as the Sarnia series vs St Thomas Stars saw them faceoff six times.

The 1st place Flyers will host the Nationals March 12 at the Leamington Kinsmen Recreation Centre in game 1 of the best-of-seven contest. No. 4 LaSalle, however, will travel to Sarnia Arena for their Round 2 tête-à-tête. Their schedule has yet to be finalized.
