(WINDSOR, ON) – The AKO Fratmen football team has announced that four Fratmen players will attend CFL combines, in Edmonton and Toronto, on March 26. Fratmen alumni consist four of the 16 CFL players chosen by the CFL to attend this year’s events.

One player, OL Ahmed Abusafeyeh, was also selected but, due to injuries, he was forced to decline the invite at this time.

Appearing at the Toronto combine will be RB Brandon Donkers and LB Dillon Grondin. Donkers led the OFC in rushing with 999 yards, was named the Fratmen Offensive Player of the Year while Grondin led the Fratmen in total tackles and was second in the OFC in total defensive points. He was named the Fratmen Defensive Player of the Year.

Heading to Edmonton will be LT Devon Kozar and K Steven Shott. Kozar was selected as the Lineman of the Year in the OFC and Shott led the OFC in field goals made and in total kick-off and punting yardage.

“All four players will represent Fratmen Football very well, said head coach Mike Lachance. “All four are high-character guys with a great deal of athletic ability that work hard on and off the field. When you combine a hunger to succeed with a high level of athleticism, you give yourself a chance to excel at the next level. I expect all four to play professional football in the upcoming seasons.”
