Vipers Look To Even Series Against Flyers

By Rob Benneian

(LaSALLE, ON) – The LaSalle Vipers are seeking to tie their GOJHL Western Conference Finals series at home Wednesday night when they host the Leamington Flyers in Game 4 of the best-of-seven series. Game time is 7:00 pm.

With an expected repeat of Saturday night’s sell out crowd, fans are encouraged to reserve their tickets ahead of time by email or by calling 519-251-5190.

The Vipers won in dramatic fashion as captain Brett Langlois came up clutch, scoring at 9:10 of overtime to take a 3-2 decision. You can read the full game recap at the Vipers’ website.

Prior to Wednesday night’s game, there will be a pre-game ceremony to recognize a pair of local heroes. Sports celebs Joe Lepera and Luke Willson will perform the ceremonial faceoff Wednesday, and Lepera will sign autographs during first intermission.

Joe Lepera backstopped the Vipers to the 2010 Sutherland Cup and recently won the CIS National Championship as a member of the York University men’s soccer team. Lepera, an honours sociology student at York, will be signing autographs during the first intermission in the lobby of the Vollmer Centre.

LaSalle native Luke Willson is a tight end for the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks and has played in the last two Super Bowls, including winning Super Bowl XLVIII a year ago.

Fans are encouraged to be in their seats in time for the ceremony.
