(ORANGEVILLE, ON) – After Windsor orchestrated a brilliant first quarter in Game 2, the Brampton A’s authored a classic of their own in Game 3, earning a 125-103 victory over the Express, at the Athletic Institute in Orangeville, on Wednesday night.
Brampton, who usually practices at the Athletic Institute, put on a clinic in the opening frame, taking a 20-6 lead in the first five minutes of the contest, and muscling the Express into submission with a 37-15 lead after one.
The second quarter was much of the same for Windsor, falling 32-23 in that twelve minute span, to be down 31 points, 69-38, at the break.
Windsor could barely put a dent in the deficit in the third quarter, at one point trailing by 37 before recovering to win the frame 35-32. They would also take the fourth quarter 30-24, but it wasn’t nearly enough to bring them within striking distance in the second half.
Chris Commons had 20 points and six rebounds for the Express, while Kirk Williams Jr matched that with 20 points of his own, adding three rebounds.
Windsor hopes for a better outcome at the Athletic Institute on Friday, April 3 when they tip off against Brampton in Game 4 of the series.
Game 5 will be back at the WFCU Centre on April 7 at 7:00 pm.
