U of Windsor’s Gravelle Named To Coach Team Canada

(OTTAWA, ON) – Volleyball Canada has announced its men’s senior B and junior program coaching and support staff for the 2015 summer season.

“Once again, we have assembled a high-quality group of coaches and staff to guide our developing teams this season,” said Julien Boucher, Volleyball Canada High Performance Director. “We are looking forward to a busy and exciting season.”

The senior B team will be led by head coach Georges Laplante, of Montreal, along with assistant coaches James Gravelle, of the University of Windsor, and former senior national team member Louis-Pierre Mainville, from Île Perrot, QC.

This team is scheduled to compete at the Pan Am Cup in the US, from August 8 to 17.

The men’s junior team’s head coach is John Barrett, of Toronto, and the assistant coaches are Brock Davidiuk, from Edmonton, and Vincenzo Mallia, of Toronto. Again this year, the team coordinator is Joanie Beauregard-Veillette, from Gatineau.

The Junior team will participate in the U21 Pan Am Cup from June 21 to 28 at the Centre Sportif in Gatineau, the FISU Games from July 2 to 12 in Gwangju, Korea, and the FIVB U21 World Championships to be held from September 11 to 20 in Mexicali and Tijuana, Mexico.
