(WINDSOR, ON) – St Clair College will be sending another men’s basketball player to the OCAA Hall of Fame when former Saints standout George Copeland is enshrined April 29, in Oakville. Copeland will be included in an induction class of 35 as part of the OCAA’s 7th Hall of Fame Ceremony. It will feature athletes, coaches, and builders from across the province, at the Oakville Convention Centre.

Copeland played three seasons for the Saints from 1981-1984, graduating from the Business Administration–Data Processing program, while scoring 1676 career points. His record still stands 6th in all-time St Clair history.

Copeland was voted an OCAA All-Star in each season and named the St Clair MVP in his final two years.

For his efforts, Copeland was named Student-Athlete of the Year at St Clair College and was quickly inducted into the St Clair Hall of Fame after graduation.

Copeland joins other already enshrined St Clair men’s basketball players Scott Irwin (2009), Henry Koscielski (2003), Duane Matthews (2013), and Jimmy Parsons (2003).
