(ALLEN PARK, MI) – The Detroit Lions have announced that they have traded DE George Johnson and a seventh-round draft pick, the 231st overall received from Baltimore, to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick, the 168th overall, in this years NFL Draft beginning on April 30.

Johnson, a native of Glassboro, NJ, played in all 16 games for the Lions last season and finished with 26 tackles and six sacks. He previously played in 2011 and 2012 for Tampa Bay.
