Danielle Wade Performs In Pre-Game Ceremony

By Rob Benneian

(LaSALLE, ON) – Danielle Wade will come full circle when she performs the national anthem, tonight at the Vollmer Centre, prior to Game 2 of the Sutherland Cup Finals between the LaSalle Vipers and Caledonia Corvairs.

The local sensation cut her teeth singing the anthem at Vipers games, when growing up in LaSalle, before winning the CBC’s Over The Rainbow and earning the role of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at the Mirvish Theatre in Toronto.

Wade will also be performing the ceremonial faceoff to officially kick-off LaSalle’s home portion of the Sutherland Cup Final. The Vipers won Game 1 in Caledonia 4-2, Wednesday night.

You can catch Wade Saturday night in a special one-time production of There’s No Place Like Home at the Olde Walkerville Theatre. The show starts at 7:30pm and tickets are just $25.
