(WINDSOR, ON) – The 2015 season of Ontario League 1 soccer got underway for the Windsor Stars on May 2 as they hosted the Woodbridge Strikers at Academie Ste Cecile. The Stars dropped their first match under new head coach Shane Topalovic, 1-nil.

An early defensive lapse allowed Woodbridge to strike a quick goal, though the Stars settled down and played textbook soccer from that point on. Although Windsor dominated play throughout the remainder of the match, they just couldn’t beat the Strikers’ keeper.

Windsor will try to even their record as they return to McHugh Stadium, in the east end, on May 8. They will meet Vaughan Azzurri at 8:00 pm.
