(WINDSOR, ON) – With their position atop the OJBLL Far West division firmly ensconced, the Windsor Clippers dropped their 4th game of the season, this time by a score of 8-7 to the Wallaceburg Red Devils.

The visitors opened the scoring at 7:29 of the 1st period and followed that goal up with another just before the 16-minute mark. To their credit, Windsor potted two quick goals, the first by Blaine Wallace and then one from Andrew Garant just 34 seconds later, to tie the game.

However, the Red Devils re-established their two-goal lead before the buzzer sounded to end the first 20 minutes.

Liam Leclair helped the Clippers pull within one, early in the second, but Wallaceburg extended their lead to three, before the half-way point of the frame. Patrick Kaschalk responded for Windsor, then with an extra attacker, Dylan Riley scored with just a second remaining on the clock.

Windsor simply ran out of time in the 3rd period as they traded two goals with Wallaceburg in the final 20 minutes. Logan Holmes hit with his 29th and 30th goals of the year, but the Clippers couldn’t pull the trigger on the equalizer. Holmes now has 90 league-leading points.
